MATHEMATICS EFFICACY AMONG STUDENTS WITH DYSCALCULIA IN PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOLS IN KANDARA SUB-COUNTY, MURANGA COUNTY, KENYA

<p>The thrust of the study was to determine levels mathematic efficacy among students with dyscalculia in public secondary Kandara sub-county Muranga County guided by Expectancy Theory (ET) motivation developed 1964 Victor Vroom. The adopted a descriptive research design. population for 54 Public schools Sub-County, out targeted 7 were sampled study. target respondents principals, teachers mathematics, 1 from each school and 125 screening. Research instruments included: questionnaire mathematics dyscalculia, screening instrument, self -efficacy scale documentary analysis. Pilot conducted Gaichanjiru Mixed Kenyoho Secondary Murang’a County. validity which used this first tried pilot helped clarification ambiguities prevalent before data collection while reliability determined using Pearson product moment correlation coefficient formula. stratified random sampling purposive select schools, respectively. Data main collected analyzed both quantitatively qualitatively (Mixed method research). Quantitative Statistical Package Social Sciences (SPSS 26.0), qualitative analysis done organizing variables into themes. reveals that learners without exhibited high self-efficacy those displayed low mathematics. researcher recommends Students’ should be improved inviting mentors or people who have succeeded mathematical field help boost their morale subject.</p><p> </p><p><strong> Article visualizations:</strong></p><p><img src="/-counters-/edu_01/0781/a.php" alt="Hit counter" /></p>
